Rogue Kill Blu-Ray

Just happened to get my copy of Rouge Kill Blu-ray early.
Tried to make a back-up.
DVDFab 8.0.9.2 crashes - Windows closes the application.
Nothing shows up in the log that I could see. I tried everything I could think of but nothing works. Windows offers to try to find a sollution on line. On one of the crashes I got a screen that said the Disk was trying to connect to the internet and was beening blocked by the firewall. I should have read this closer as it has never showed up since.
Any suggestions
Glenn

#4

That was not what I was talking about, please read this post from Fengtao…

#5

DVDFab crashes and is unable to extract the ifo info. I opened the disk and didn’t see any ifo files. downloaded Isobuster and think you must have the payed for verion to get the ifo info. Any other suggestions. Thanks glenn

#6

DVDFab needs internet connection when you are doing Blu-ray as all decryption keys for Blu-ray are on fengtao’s server. You need to configure your firewall to allow DVDFab access to internet.

Also did the crash report come up when DVDFab crashed? If it did you should fill it out and send it in

#7

My Internet connection was boged down and running very slow. Does DVDFab need to access the internet to open the disk? If so that could have been my problem. The crash report you speek of ,is it in the log or a pop up screen. DVDFab was giving me a Windows program crash screen offering to close the progran or find a solution.
Thanks Glenn

#8

If you place the disc in your drive and open DVDFab’s common settings there is a send button on the Info page…

#9

DVDFab does not open the disk. It would try to read or open the disk for a long time and Windows would crash the software before the reading was compleat.
Glenn

#10

Without opening DVDFab are you able to browse the disc using windows explorer ? jf so you should be able to get the info that way.

#11

As I mentioned above, I couldn’t find any IFO files
Glenn

#12

I’m not into BR however if I’m not mistaken BR does not use IFO files, but rather has a another name for the files…but not sure :frowning:

#13

Course you could or may have to wait until Fengtao gets the disc himself to analyze

#14

I was going to put the disk back in and see what file where available in the browser. Them I remembered my kids took the disk home last night. I’ll have to let some one else sort it out.
Thanks Glenn

 The kids have the disc  you may want to clean the disc on return, I don’t know about your kids but the ones here seem to always take them to fingerprint city due to their gorilla fingers.:bigsmile:

#16

I know the feeling. That’s why they seldom get the real thing. You can always make anouther back-up when the first backup no longer plays

Yes DVDFab needs internet connection for all Blu-ray movies.

As for the crash report it usually a pop up but sounds like the pop up you taking about is one windows will show. DVDFab crash pop up is a crash report that gets filled out and then sent to DVDFab

#18

So the best I can figure was Windows was crashing DVDFab before DVDFab would popualate a crash report.
Glenn

#19

Yes that sounds like what happening. Have tried to allow DVDFab access to internet to see if that was what causing the crash?

DVDs do not need internet connection but to keep the installer small Blu-ray decryption is on DVDFab server so Blu-ray need internet connection. If no connection then would crash/error out due to no internet
