THE next phase in the evolution of the humble record is being spearheaded by an unlikely innovator. Veteran Australian rocker Jimmy Barnes is taking a bold step away from the world of CDs by selling his new album in a unique format: via a USB wristband.
That’s old…the last Rolling Stones CD’s (Shine A Light) came out on a licks MP3 key chain. I have one.
Previous USB releases have been one-directional in that they cannot be updated.
Can you update yours?
After reading the article again i guess this isn’t quite the same type of device. Plus you can purchase the CD’s.
Mine came preloaded with 24 tunes and is reusable. So i would have to add tunes manually. Also i haven’t opened it. I bought it for Stones memorabilia.
Here’s a link to what i have > http://rollingstones.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=150_14042&pc=RSAM630USB
it’s a cool concept, but not really sure it’s the next big thing
I was surprised buy reading the concpet he has used to sell his cds. I can say it’s an good concept . Innovation thinking by him.
