I have a China Fuzhou Rockchip Mp4 player . I cannot find a software DVD to AVI converter that will work with this unit. All the avi files get a wrong format error. I have tried Imtoo and Spb converter with no luck. Any idea which avi format this unit will run?
I found this:

Thanks Whappo, I’ve been to that site but can’t make heads or tail out of it. My Mp4 says it supports mpeg4 avi. It will not read mpg or wmv files. It comes with two short video clips. Is there a way to tell what video codec these clips were made with. Also, it comes with aviconverter 3.0 software which unfortunetly does not work in Vista x64. Windows shows the detail of these clips as 320x240, data rate 94 kbps, total bitrate 128 kbps, 20 f/s and the audio as 128kbps. Does this help.
Run it through GSpot.
Like MysticEyes suggests, download Gspot, http://www.headbands.com/gspot/, start the program (it’s just a standalone app, no shortcut) and open the file. It will tell you everything you need to know.
For converting a file to mpg4 take a look at Format Factory,
http://www.formatoz.com/, select all to mp4 and look at the output options there is one for mobile devices 320x240, select the one that matches the information you have. You can change just about any setting from default.
Mystic Eyes and Whappo, I’m in love.
After trawling the internet forever you have cracked the uncrackable for the ROCKCHIP iTouch clone avi files. Gspot and FF, it’s the business. Cheers.
