Ritek DVD-R

Writer: TSSTcorp SH-S243D
Media: “Equip” DVD-R 16x
MID: RITEKF1
Recording speed: 8x
Manufacture Date: May 21st, 2009 (hub code TEH905214532A17)

Much better result than nixa_mk… Wish he would have posted his manufacture date for comparison.

The only identifier printed on RiData disks is: DR5FA-00637 (at least for the last cake, I will later check if there is something additional on the other packages)

That’s the stamper code, it’s printed on. Check the hub code which is engraved in the inner ring of the disc.

Unfortunately RiData DVD-R made in Vietnam doesn’t have hub code regardless if branded or printable. The Maxell DVD-R branded RITEKF1 that is made in China has hub code but it is impossible to read. I attached small/resized photos - I can provide full resolution if necessary.

Due the writing @14x max. the drives was incredible quiet. I thought the Smartbuy have to be an unbelievable good balance. But at end of writing while LeadOut/Finalizing the 224BB gets noisy like everytime.

If there were a change to set the max. speed to 14x at reading I would use it.

Awful burn. No problems visible, DVD looks OK
