Nice one

Riteks could be decent discs if they haven’t got this problems with degradation…

#82

BR2 can be good or OK, at least direct after burning. I had very different results with Maxell and Platinum, but after some years it´s over

Primeon 25GB 10x / RITEKBR3

Burnt with Pioneer BDR-209EBK @ 10x

Looks like the Primeon are much better than my Platinum. Those vary in quality I had in a more extreme way with my BR2 from Maxell (awful) and Platinum (very good). But still it´s RITEKBRx and I don´t know how it looks like in some years.

IMHO are the Lite is the best burner for BR3

#89

Maybe Primeon orders a higher grade than Platinum, because they advertise it as 10x.

#90

Somewhere I have a 10pcs cakebox of Primeon, but didn´t used so far.

Since I know the massive degradation of Ritek I only use it for short life data or burn the same data also on other media.

RITEKBR3 will burned 10x on all my BD-Desktop-drives, thats true. However, I think the BR2 will be burned the same speed, except with the BDR-206 which allow 12x if I remember correct.

Writer: Panasonic UJ272
Firmware: 1.00
Media: Platinum BD-R 25GB 6x
MID: (RITEKBR3)
Burn Speed: 6x
Software: Nero 12 Ess.
Burned 2017
Scanned 2017

Not good. BR3 seems to have also problems at fast read speeds, the LG works with better media very good at 12x scanspeed, but not with this media

Media: Platinum BD-R 25GB 4x Printable
MID: (RITEKBR2)
Burn Speed: 4x

These BR2 looks very good, but not for long time

The LG have here no problems with full scanspeed

What have you just bought? CD/DVD related or otherwise
#96

Almost everwhere impressive jitter scans from most Ritek Br3!

Strange that a Wh16NS58 with Mediatek Chipset scan them so good compared to the Liteon Mediatek.
Maybe newer Mediatek Chipset?

#97

Do you mean BR2 or BR3 with Jitter?
I have to check it newt time I use the Panasonic, it could be that it uses Z-CLV, thats maybe the reason for the drop of Jitter with BR2

Yep, it´s a newer chipset, but not sure about the difference in scanning. I have very big difference with one of my HP-Liteon (see Liteon iHBS112, iHBS212, iHBS312 .

Maybe the laser of actual LG have better read-capability and it “sees” not so many errors.

#98

Br3 Jitter because i think that most time medium and high LDC / Bic values also produce higher jitter.

#99

Yes, there´s a correlation between LDC/BIS and jitter. So I can tolerate that the LG can´t do a jitter scan with ODC
