Hi,

why I cant rip at 12x all movies ?

Seabiscuit and Nemo took me a very long time to rip (40 min for nemo and
50min for Seabiscuit). Most other movies I ripped took me less than 10 min.

Anyone knows why

Never had that, it starts at 3x then rides upto around 8x for DVD-+Rs Pressed disks will go up to 12x, sometimes Also the older DVD-+Rs are very slow sometimes ripping off.

DVD discs written with DVD-Video ID reads at 5x CAV only. With hacked firmware there should be no such limitation.

While discs written with DVD-ROM ID (may still contain video) reads at 8x CAV for dual layer and 12x CAV for single layer.

Are you using the hacked firmware? Or the official one?

with a burned dvd-r, my 107 starts @3,5x and goes up to 7,8x / 8,2x at the end of the disc

haven’t tryed ripping pressed dvd-video disc (using a lite-on for that)
