I have converted my vhs tapes to dvd and am now trying to use Windows Movie Maker to edit them. They aren’t in the right format, so I’m trying to use Aimersoft DVD Ripper to convert them to avi or wvm mode. It is taking hours and hours for 1 dvd. Is there a faster way to do this? Am I doing something wrong? I am a novice with this.
You should try editing them in the format they are in now. I suggest getting the trial version of Womble Mpeg Video Wizard DVD or VideoRedo TV Suite, both of which can make frame accurate cuts in mpeg2 video. Both have fully functional trial downloads for their programs.
Even AviDemux has some editing capabilities for mpeg2 found in dvd video, and it is free, but I’d use one of the first two programs first.
