This is clearly NOT RIAA style. Have they softened up a little bit? And, come on, hundred of millions dollars? This is crazy.


Thats still a lot of money for a student.


Well, how much can you get from a student, this is just precedent making. They build and build, punitive damage after punitive damage until they can go after bigger guns with a stack of paper that overwhelms a judge/jury. Since its Civil, punishment of prison is nearly impossible without showing that they willfully did this to damage the industry. We’ll see bigger and bigger suits come and go until someone actually gets prison time.


You would have to be thinkin’ that the RIAA could just about scratch these uni’s off for a source for their think tanks in the future…talk about muddying up you drinking water…:X
