I just posted the article RIAA lectured by federal judge.

A federal judge in Boston openly chided the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), after reminding the RIAA’s lawyers they have ethical obligations that must be fulfilled.
In a court…

A judge is telling lawyers to mind their “ethical obligations”? What planet is she from? Must be up for re-election next week.

That was some session. It goes to show how little wiggle room there is when dealing with the RIAA. I hope we get some new laws passed with the new adminstration.

Considering all of the crazy stuff politicians have to look forward to fixing in 2009, I am not sure if copyright law will be on the top of the list any time soon. :frowning:

It will continue to be up to the judges who oversee RIAA-related cases…

Thugs in action. It’s a pity the Judge will still bow to the almighty dollar though, like all banker judges do.

New laws ? Yea , Biden will pass new laws , like the one he suggested previously for forbiding recording from radio …

@ Lord KiRon

Your statement is more of the right-wing fear tactics used over the last 8 years, I however don’t think it works anymore give it a rest man. After 8 years people have had enough of all this nonsense there are other issues to be talked about, such as Health Care, Job Creation, and alot of other issues. “Obama '08 Change & Hope a new direction for America!”

Right wing ? no way !
It’s just simple , check his “record” , I for example just googled: http://www.google.co.il/search?q=RIAA+Biden&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

“Considering all of the crazy stuff politicians have to look forward to fixing in 2009”

When has a politician ever fixed anything in the first place?

Your post is Propaganda and fear tactics, stop trying to change up the issues facing the country. Stick to the issues such as Job loss, Health Care, Economy, etc unless you perfer not to thats your choice I voted early and voted for Obama, as an Independent I want a new direction and someone who relates to the middle class not Mr. McCain with 7 houses and 13 Cars specially now when people are losing their homes and that you can blame on the bad economy we now have after 8 years of Republican economics.

@ CJF1983

Yeah, I’m crying for Obama.
I’m middle class, and he doesn’t relate to me.

Sen.John McCain (R-Ariz.)
Net worth: $25-$38 million

Sen.Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.)
Net worth: $10-$50 million

Sen.Barack Obama (D-Ill.)
Net worth: $1-$2.5 million+
Obama’s wealth is likely to have increased significantly because of the huge success of his book, “The Audacity of Hope”

Basically the riaa and mpaa need to go f**k themselves-I’m tired of being told that I can’t do whatever I want (excluding making copies to resell which is wrong as hell) with dvds or bluray or whatever I legally buy.
