RIAA claims artists will see cash from the LimeWire settlement.

The real question is exactly how is that money going to be distributed. Jonathan Lamy, the RIAA's Senior Vice President of Communications made a statement that the decision as to who gets what is "a decision for the individual plaintiffs." Lamy goes on to speculate that artists will see a cut of the $105 million based on the historical president set when the KaZaa case was settled. When asked, three of the four record labels involved in the suit against LimeWire said they would in fact share the settlement money with their artists.

Yes, and after Bribes, Kickbacks, Other General Corruption and of course the Legal Vultures, that should leave a whole $1.49 left for the Artists.
Isn't that 150% more than the RIAA 'gives' artists now?
Even if artists received the entire $105 million, wouldn't each artist only see a very small amount of money?
Yeah, like they will even see that $1.49 more like they will be in turn charged a "Service FEE of $1.49" for helping to recover money for doing nothing for the artist.
I doubt they will see anything resembling a sum of money from the suit, my guess is that they will be as I mentioned in the earlier posting they will be charged for recovering money for the artists whom never got paid for the work they did in the first place...
