Retaining size of movie

Hi…
I’ve converted a Divx .avi movie, of 670*272…
But when it was successfully converted to dvd format… it is much wider than what it was initially… How do I prevent this from happening? I want the same ratio…

Has PAL or NTSC have to do with this? COz I converted in PAL mode…

i think the answer to your 1st question is, that the pixel standard for dvd is diferent to your avi. maybe someone will post telling you how to keep the same ratio.

and the only difference between pal & ntsc is that pal runs at 25 fps & ntsc runs at 29fps
