BDR-S11J drive info and photos. Note the security tape on the sides of the drive. Sorry for the blurriness on the photo of the disc.

Burns and scans in progress…

@jadburner
Tape on the sides of the casing are versions of Japanese -J. They are designed to help maintain the tightness of the housing from dust and other dirt and debris.

You can even view the property in DVRTool 1.02?

Great news.
How do you find time to look at the disc version of Pioneer Drive Ulility for Pioneer BDR-xxx J
They are usually hidden in the "Seion"
I would love to see what they look like options and settings BDR-S11J-X

Have you done any comparisons between the S11J and the S11J-X (same type of disc). I am assuming the performance of these two drives is pretty much the same…with the main difference being features for real time CD playback?

#20

I have not done any head-to-head comparisons (yet), but as you said I expect the burning performance to be about the same.
