Offtopic! How did you crossflash, just with Lite-on flash utility from COdeKing?
Similiar to http://club.myce.com/f44/plds-dh-16aas-307269/#post2485899
sorry for asking. does the eeprom utility recognize the asus drive?
Yes (24B1LT)Just flash with Lite-on firmware, then use "convert drive" function (unless you'll just have a green blinking led)Just in case, don't forget to make a backup of eeprom and firmware (easier to "uncrossflash" later) before crossflashing
THANK you mate. :flower:
Some pictures of my 24B1LT (24B1LT/BLK/B/AS, Nov.2009,China)If you can see, it uses MT1879LE chipset. I crossflashed the drive to iHAS524 A, the drive started supporting LabelTag, but LightScribe stopped functioning.
It's possible that with a iHAS624 firmware ( when available ) this drive support both Lightscribe and LabelTag.
I hope so.
anyone send me originaly binary file for DRW-24B1ST for restoring this device, thans in advance and bye
so labeltag uses lightscribe hardware to function right?
No, since iHAS524 is labeltag but doesn't have lightscribe hardware. But lightscribe capable chipset are also labeltag capable (in that case)
many many thanks again.

Not good, none of the discs are readable afterwards. May be the firmware just doesn't like to be oversped?
