Replaced drive, now cdspeed crashes

I have Nero 6 installed, latest revision. I replaced my DVD drive with a DVD writer, which seems to work properly, except since the drive replacement, when I try to start the ‘scandisc’ or ‘disc quality’ scans, CD-DVD speed instantly crashes.

I’ve tried using the version of CD-DVD speed from the website it can be downloaded from too, but both versions crash just the same.

My mistake, only the ‘scandisc’ operation crashes when the test is started, not the quality scan.

  • edit - adding to this, it just seems to crash for rewritable discs.

Have you checked to make sure the drive’s firmware is up to date?

Do you have InCD installed?

InCD not installed, drive firmware up-to-date.
