Remux help needed

vbimport

#1

I am having troubles with h.264 MP4 files, NOT for Ipods, they are full size. Many programs do not accept this, so i was told to demux the file, and change the resultant streams to acceptable ones, ie AVC to MPG2 or something like that. However, I can find no specifics for this. I tried googling, but nothing really showed up.

I currently have Elcard XMuxer Pro, and it seems to demux correctly, but does not have a function for converting. What steps should I take to make the changes, software, etc??

Thanks,

MovieMaven (<— know my movies, not my software!)

And you want to convert mp4/h.264 to DVD format ?

That is correct.

FAVC seems to have support for AVC input. I would try it first. http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/

Don’t demux first when using FAVC, as it is a simple gui and I don’t believe there is a separate input for audio streams.

Another program that shows support for AVC over at videohelp.com is AVStoDVD, but I haven’t tried it with that type of input file.

Thanks, that worked quite well. I would have liked to have been able to convert the file so I could use ConvertX, but this is only for a few files.

Again, I appreciate your help!
