"Remove Silence" option in Nero (when saving tracks)

My assumption is that this only removes the the silence at the end /or beginning of a track, which would add convenience when remastering or creating new cds.

Since there is a separate option to “remove silence from the end of ‘.cda’ tracks” when creating an audio CD in Nero, does this perform some other function I should be aware of (and possibly avoid)?

No amount of searching the Nero documentation do they make any mention of this.

Thanks

If there’s any info about that option I have never found it in the Nero help. :a

So I had to test it. I did a couple of tests and I found that the resulting discs were equal with that option enabled or disable. (Of course, the WAVs had silence at start and end).

As you say, there’s also an option in the extraction module to delete those silences when extracting, so I wonder if it’s redundant, it’s a useless option, they forgot to program it or they don’t know how to do it…

I’ve always said that Nero is quite stupid (apart from buggy).
I hope that I’m the stupid here, and someone tell us what’s the purpose of that option.
