Remove copyright bit in MP3s

Anyone know of a program that can do this ?
Tried to write something in C myself, but can’t seem to find an accurate description of the MP3 format frame-headers.

TIA…

reform them to wav and then back to mp3, and copyright is gone :stuck_out_tongue:

With only a 50% drop in quality!

you’ll always have a certain loss in quality, other thing you might do is filter the fingerprint out of the mp3, but the problem here will be that you probably filter more then you want :stuck_out_tongue:

But on all fairy tailes comes an end, also on this, it only needs sum time

try mp3epoc (http://www.ft1.org/?view=software)

All you need is a tag editor. I just added a copyright to a song then removed it in WinAmp.

Interesting.

Copyright is a flag, not a tag. Not all tagging apps also allow you to toggle the flags.

One that I know of that does is MP3 Tag Studio.
