I burned a DVD with PowerDVD added. On loading the DVD in reader, this is what I got: This DVD player has been fixed to Not Specified. Only those discs that support this region can be played.
Both of my readers are region 1 according to properties in system XP. I burned using direct to disc in PowerProducer Gold. What am I missing here? 
Not sure but sounds like you need a region killer or something.
I can recommend the DVD region free from DVDIdle.com and you can trial this for 30 days and as its software and not firmware no damge will be done if it doesn’t solve your problem. I have used it and had no region problems and my region is set to region 2, but have played other regions.
