I’ve been downloading PAL movies(I can’t find them in NTSC). Is there anyway i can make them region free, so they will play in a NTSC dvd player without converting them over via a slow software program. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best way is to get a DVD player that will play PAL .
Even then you have to rip & burn them to make them region free PAL.
Or
You can rip them to an external harddrive or media player .
Then play them from the harddrive strait to the television.
My widescreen has a USB input I use . I don’t have but some PAL burned disc that I tested with but those work.
There is just not a simple way to do it.

Hey chef would downloaded movies even have a region ?

The only movies I download are free ones from YouTube .
Usually they’re xvid .avi with ocassional .mkv or h264 .
No PAL ones yet & only a few with NTSC in MediaInfo.

Hey cholla,

“movies” not, but images and ISOs holding a full VideoDVD or BluRay Video Disc: yes, of course.

There are also VOD services that stream/deliver that kind of stuff with DRM and all that crap.
