RegAnyDVD.exe

I am trying to transfer Any DVD from my old computer to my new one, I backed up all AnyDVD files but I do not have my license key, I was told I can activate AnyDVD with the RegAnyDVD.exe but I don’t know how.

Note: I bought AnyDVD along with my brother, which has lifetime updates we used his e-mail address and we since have had a falling out. Can tell me how to execute the RegAnyDVD.exe file?

Usually double clicking the key will do the registration as in the instructions from slysoft I will post below.
My key is this name: Key.AnyDVDHD yours is probably Key.AnyDVD .
Unless you purchased the HD .
From slysoft:

How to register your license key

You purchased a license key, but what to do now? Here we go:

Make sure that your user status allows you to install software and make essential changes, (so-called admin rights). For Vista and Windows 7 be sure you understand the settings for User Account Control. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10).aspx or turn UAC “off” for the install/registration.
SlySoft offers you a 21-days free trial period for each product (except the upgrade to AnyDVD HD), so that you can test and approve them before you decide to buy them. However, if you have purchased one or several license key(s) without having tested the software before, please download and install it before you try to unlock it: http://www.slysoft.com/download.html
Detach the license key from the license e-mail you should have received or follow the link either given you directly after the purchase or embedded into the license e-mail you received. Save the file to your desktop. Note that the file name for the key for each product also contains the name of the product.
Double click onto the license key file and wait until the system message “registration of… OK, please restart…” appears. Reboot your computer and your product should be unlocked now.

Should step 4.) fail, try the following:
Press your Windows key and browse through the start menu until you reach the program folder of the SlySoft product you want to unlock. There, browse to register… and click onto this feature. A window will pop up, asking you to select a file. Browse to your desktop and select the according license key with a double click.
Reboot your computer afterwards and your product should be unlocked.
Please make sure that you reboot your computer whenever it asks you to do so and decide to give the SlySoft applications permission to perform if your firewall and/or antivirus software ask you whether to allow them or not.

The answer you got in this thread on the Slysoft Forum should be sufficient.

http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?p=369234#post369234 There is no way to enable your licence without the .key file that came with your registration e-mail. You can however recover it.

Here is my problem I can’t find the license key. Here are my backed up files, where would the license key be?

I can’t get the image up to post for some reason I got to run will try tonight

I got it to work with copy & paste.
You Don’t have the key file in your Program Files folder .
Neither do I.
You should have recieved the key link by e-mail when you purchase AnyDVD.
You needed to click the link & download the key.
This may have been automatic with the click I don’t remember.
You must have had it somewhere on your old computer or AnyDVD wouldn’t have worked on it.
You might try a search on the old computer for “Key.AnyDVD”

The licence key would be an attachment to your registration e-mail when you bought the program. You download the attachment and save it to a your desktop and then with the program off, double click the .key file and you will be registered. If you do not have your .key, its not a .exe either, its a .reg file. You can get it with the old e-mail addy you used when you bought the program.

Sorry cholla, I think we were posting at the same time. LOL.

Like I stated in the original post it’s my brothers e-mail and we have fallen out, so I am screwed

Maybe not.
This is in one of the links alan posted.
If you know the original e-mail address .
Slysoft is supposed to send it to a new one.
It should be worth a try.

Ok Alan thanks

Cholla, Alan, it turns out I am not sure of the e-mail address used when my brother purchased the software.

What if I can get access to the hard disk that the original copy was installed on, can I go to the registry and possibly do something with that? Thanks

That would be stealing and we cant help you with that, if your brother paid for it and is still using it and its in his name you will have to buy your own key. Did you read Mr Hollanders response to you in the Slysoft forum?
