Reduce cd speed (TOC Editing?)

vbimport

#1

hi,
i have search through the forum about dummy files and nothing good came up…

my problem is that i have burned a 12 mb data cd and because the data is small the drive keep spinning like hell… i want to put some dummy files (600mb) BUT the problem is , i dont know any burning tools that can arrange file in the way i want in the T …

i mean in nero i dont have any control of the sequence of which files is burned.
I want the dummy file to be burned BEFORE the 12 mb data to keep low cd speed.

The only tool that i have seen which have this functionality is Sony’s CD/DVD-ROM Generator (but it’s for ps2 disc, LAYOUT section of the tool)

Any ideas ?

What is the problem to use ANY kind of file then?

You could even burn an linux distro iso…

Nero will burn them in alphabetical order.

Yes but since there’s numbers and numbers of dummy file generator source code or binaries to generate a precise size… that’s more useful if i have to do other cd with small data on it…

Nero will burn them in alphabetical order.

Are you sure about this, so if i named it 0000.000 (the dummy file or what ever u want to call it) folders still are on top of it… also did you know a tool to check this … to see the cd file structure, sector by sector ?

Thanks alot!!!

AFAIK, Nero will just burn stupidly in alphabetical order.

Just grab an RW and test it.

Good Luck!
