Hello! My Nec ND-2500A is in a firewire enclosure. I can use it from any software I use ( Nero 6, Vegas 5, DVD Architect 2, etc. Recordnow Max 4.5 (after Px engine updates) say's, no compatible writer found. Is it possible to use this drive whith Recordnow max? Perhaps the external box is the problem? Thanks for any help. Alti!
I have it in a USB2 enclosure, and with RecordNow, it works perfectly ! So maybe the problem is related with the firewire connection ???
If Nero , Vegas 5 and other programs can use it, I don't think the external box is the problem : I have 2 DVD readers and 2 writers in firewireboxes and RecordNow 4.5 van work with all. Install PxEngine 507,and if you already did that, I think the best solution from there is to uninstall en reinstall RN. That should solve the problem.Let me know how it goes please.-Pat357
I posted the same problem a few days ago.Updating to the px507 engine or reinstalling RecordNow max 4.5 wont help.Although all of the rest of my programs find the burner fine.RecordNow 4.6 and above find the burner fine with the update but I want to keep version 4.5 on my computer so I can use both of my 2500s at the same time and I cant with the later versions. So I ended up flashing back to beta v4.If anyone finds a way around this problem please post it.
Hello, I am Alti again!I used Herrie's latest firmware ( bitsetting + dual layer support v.5), that was the problem! I flashed the original firmware 1.07, and RecordnowMax 4.5 recognized the drive, without reinstalling, the software! Hi!
