Hi. I’m quite adept now at making mp3 files from cassette tape and my question is this: is it also possible to use a PC to record video? The disk drive on my old DVD recorder is broken and I’m looking for a way to put the content of its hard drive onto my PC’s hard drive. To record sound, you plug the source device into your Sound Card but I don’t see any equivalent plugs for video so I’m not hopeful. But any suggestions would be welcome. Many thanks.
You will need a video capture card (or device). There are cheap ones that can get the job done and there are high quality cards that are easily $100
Here is a cheap one that the reviews liked: Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus 82303000101 USB 2.0 Interface $40 AR.
Excellent, eric - thanks for that.
