looking for new IDE hard drive:cool: but don’t know which one to get:o

heard IBM’s/hitachi are prone to failing:Z

in search of reliability rather than performance:cool:

had no problems with my maxtor but this was only an 8gb, in search of 60gb + (and large woman with large breasts)
are western digital, seagate or maxtor drives any good:bow:

The WD Special Edition 80GB JB series with 8MB cache is both reliable and is one of the fastest IDE drives you can buy. It’s available on sale around $80-$90. 3 year warranty.

Yup, I bought a 40GB and 80GB WDJB. Also bought a Maxtor 160GB. The WDs are noisy compare to the Maxtors, IBMs, and Seagates though.

Go for a WD Special Edition with 8Mb cache.

One of the best harddisks and present from 40Gb up to 250Gb.

I went for this one > Maxtor® 120GB Internal Hard Drive, 7200 RPM

Another notch for the Western Digital SE.

A good warrenty which the SE’s have is what you want now seeing as many of the hard drive manufacturers are cutting back the length of their warrenties on their standard drives.

Definitely this one :stuck_out_tongue: > The Maxtor 300GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

#13

5400RPM???

Why 5400??

#14

Less heat, lower volume. But it does have 300GB of porn storage capacity.

Hey, I didn’t know we’re playing Simon Says. Ok ok, I’ll go first. Simon says there’s a script kiddie wannabe who likes to repeat whatever Stoner says.
