I am sorry if this thread already exists somewhere, but I could not find it. 
I am getting a BenQ DW1655 burner really don’t need lightscribe and actually wanted 1650, but they are out of stock and no ETA date, oh well.
Could you point out what brands of DVD media are better and what formats?
(i.e. Panasonic DVD+R)

The BenQ DW1650 and DW1655 are identical except for LightScribe, so whatever media is good for the 1650 is also good for the 1655.
Actually, I’ve found BenQ DW1650 Black. Got that and a 50 pack of 8x DVD+R Taiyo Yuden.

Verbatim +R 16X made by CMC, not Prodisc. ID MCC 004. Burn it at 12X. The CMC case has a higher lip around the edge and a center hub that is tall and straight, not tapered.
Micro Center has them tomorrow for $14 per 50. Office max has them on sale every 2 months or so.
The TY you already have is the best.
