I'm wondering if these problems people are having are hardware related too.
I'm having no compatiblity problems with my pio A09 using Nero 220.127.116.11 with DVD-R media. All burns made with the A09 work flawlessly in my other two DVD drives on my computer, the DVD drive on my son's computer and in two standalone DVD players, that being said I have not tried these discs in an x-box at all (I have no interest in that aspect).
My A09 came with FW 1.09 but has been flashed to 1.17.
During the burn process, however, I do get the odd fluctuation of the buffer going down to around 75%, and when the burn speed changes (Z-CLV), I do note that the buffer will go down to around 10% and the drive seems to take ages to change up to the new speed, and the LED on the A09 stops glowing too, however this doesn't seem to affect my burns.
My system is a P4 based on an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe offering utilising the 875 chipset. Both my hardrives are on SATA, with my A09 as the master on the Primary IDE channel with a LS120 drive on the channel as a slave.
My Secondary IDE channel has a pio 108 as the master and a pio 116 DVD-ROM as slave.
I'm running XP SP2, Nero 18.104.22.168 and Alcohol 120% as burning programs and am using XP's native drivers and no other ASPI layer (apart from the Nero one), and all seems fine with my system.
So I'm just wondering if the people experiencing most of the problems are using AMD based systems or chipsets based on VIA or Nforce offerings?
