Just a random question. Would burning say a flac cue with an image recorder give a higher quality lossless file to play on the computer than burning to a real cd and ripping it? I would think it would because it's all happening within the computer and there is no physical cd media or burner involved.
Since flac is a lossless format it shouldn’t make any difference.
Query though why you need to burn the files at all if all you want to do is play them on your computer?
There are programs that will play flac files after all.
I want to import them into iTunes as Apple Lossless and use them on my iPod. And I also want iTunes to get track names so I either need to burn and rip or use an image recorder.
