Read offset formats

Hi all, I got a PX-750a drive, and the native Plextor’s program reports its offset as -408, while on this site
http://www.accuraterip.com/driveoffsets.htm
My drive’s reported offset is +102.

Is this due to different read offset formats or is there some more serious problem?

Thanks in advance,
Anton

There is no problem. PlexTools reports the read offset in bytes, while on the accuraterip database you find the read offset CORRECTION in 4-bytes samples, following the convention used by one of the few rippers that allow offset correction, Exact Audio Copy (EAC).

Therefore 408 (bytes) is 102*4 (samples) and is correct, and the reverted sign is due to the fact that the read offset CORRECTION is the opposite of the read offset.

Many thanks!
