When enable XMP in bios does the processor also being overclock ?
After enable XMP does it rising temperature of processor and motherboard ?
Does all of ram able to use XMP or only certain ram on list of ram support XMP by the motherboard ?
- No, the CPU stays at the same speed.
- Not all RAM has an XMP profile, for example DDR4 2133 does not need an XMP profile since this is the default speed that the RAM runs, a kit that is rated for, lets say, 3000Mhz will have an XMP profile that will automatically set the correct speed and timings.
