I've recently noticed a HUGE decrease in my PC's speed.
After benching the HD's I've found the Issue.
Problem: 160GB Raid array & 120GB WDJB both bench on average 45MB/s read, alternating peaks/minimums at 60MB/s & 40MB/s.
I'm obviously not impressed since the system has been dead stable for approx 4 months
After reinstalling IDE & ITE8212 drivers and aspi layer, problems remain.
No new programs have been installed in the last 2 weeks.
HD's have been thoroughly defragged using MS defrag :).
System has been scanned with NAV with Virus definitions dated 28-4-04, and with Lavasoft adaware with ref files dated 28-04-04.
Anyone have any clues? Known issues with recent M$ security updates related to Iosubsys, IDE, etc?
