I read somewhere that some of ATI's dual display video cards will work well in windows 2000--meaning that In Win 9x & XP Windows offers the option: "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" to extend your display onto the secondary display.
In windows 2k all I can do is stretch the display across the two monitors. This stretches the taskbar between the two monitors and does not give very good performance. Also, there is no way to run many programs fullscreen on just one of the monitors. Hydravision is NOT the solution for me. I hope that makes my problem a little bit clearer. Thanks.
My 8500 does dual display well in Win 9x and XP, but not Win 2000. Does anyone know which cards support REAL dual display in Win 2000? Thanks.
