What is needed to make a 1:1 copy, a good reader or a good writer? Which is more important?

Almost all modern CD-RWs can do the reading and writing. For SD1/2 games, a good reader will simply lower the read time, and for SD2, depending on the version, you need a good writer to make a perfect 1:1 copy. Lite-Ons are great for this.
