I’m planning on purchasing the Plextor PX708A 8x dvd burner but I’d like to know if it will work as well as the Plextor premium cd burner. I read that the premium burner is capable of perfect copies of secuROM v4.8+ and I’d like to know if this new Plextor 8x dvd burner can do the same. Thanks for any help.
No; it can’t!
Only Plextor premium has the special function called GIGAREC that Blindwrite uses for changing sector density needed for perfect 1:1 securom 4.8 backups!
PX708A doesn’t have GIGAREC!
I hope Plextor will soon release a DVD burner with Gigarec capability!
