Question about Nero, Roxio et al

What is the lowest quality video attainable with CD audio (WAV) quality audio stream in the DVD video format. Cyberlink has a few fixed video modes and the lowest quality is 1MBps, 15 frames per sec, 300x200 (approx) resolution. I am looking for more flexibility - ie, ability to independently set video and audio quality PLUS ability to choose VERY low quality video. MPEG2 or DIVX could work, too.

What is the best that Nero or Roxio can do. How flexible are they.

I think you are referring to your other question on forum. How many songs you can put on DVD.
I do not work with Nero or Roxio, but how video works is that if you have a non motion picture, like jpeg, than video will stay on as long as audio. If there is a motion picture, than audio will play only as long as video.
In first case of jpeg, you will have to insert one continuous audio file to play. Than no chance of selecting songs.
If you want to do that, than you will need little more sophisticated authoring software, like DVD Lab Pro or other.
You cannot use DivX with wav file it supports mp3.

This is other site I found. There were more, but cannot find them.

You can just make separate videos for each song. The JPEG mode is the one I’m looking for, but I want to do it with the lowest quality possible so the video takes up the least space.

What can Nero or Roxio do in this respect? For example, can you make the resolution arbitrarily small? Or set the frame rate to approx zero? Or set the bitrate for video to zilch or something close to it?

Btw, I believe DIVX is more flexible than just MP3. I saw a table in Wikepedia comparing the different formats, and it incl PCM as one of the audio formats DIVX can handle.

I may be wrong about audio, but what i meant is that you cannot use DivX(mpeg4) video on DVD which is mpeg2 video format, unless your DVD player will support DivX play.
I am not sure what you can do with video using Nero or Roxio, but you can make video with resolution 352x240(NTSC), 352x288(PAL) with lowest bitrate as software allow. Framerate has to stay constant 29.97fps(NTSC), 25fps(PAL).
