I switched MCC002@MCC003, and now ,I want to burn Real MCC003, so need I reset learnt media before I burn MCC003?
And can I burn MCC002 and MCC003 all use MCC003 strategy?
You could try using both and see how it works. Since the dyes are similar or even the same or possibly the MCC002 and MCC003 are the same discs with a different media code. Basically give it a try. If you don't get good results, reset the learn and use one media until it is uses up and then us the other.
the first burn of mcc003
@ denglu3Very nice result...however, the forum standard scan speed is 4x...try the scan again...you may see similar results. Also, try to save the scan as a .png file...it takes up less space..
I know the “4Xâ€,but I want to do a fast scan ，so...
I just want to show the MCC002@MCC003 and MCC003@MCC003 burned result by same DVDRW
I think PIF is a little big ...
oh... sth strange happened on the first MCC003, only after 2 days, the scan result changing...
I have a 851 flashed to 832 with lastest firmware. I was wondering if i needed to flash any firmware back to stock before i reset or burn again? I read that i'm suppose to reset , then burn with a dvd+rw, then a dvd+r. is that correct? I'm using ricohr01's at the moment but thinking about switching to ty t02s. would i use the tys for the first dvd+r burn or could i just use the ricohs? anything i missed and you could tell me could be great. thanks
after crossflashing you should reset learnt media, as the data is saved in different positions what can cause faulty burns. the learnt media is saved for each mediacode differently, so you can burn the ricoh discs now. if you get other media, they need to be learned, too.
when you mean learned, do you mean reseting it? do i have to reset each time i want to use different media?
no, a media is learnt after 3-4 burns. different media have different learnt data stored in the eeprom. you only need to reset learnt media1. before crossflashingor2. if your burns get worse
changed? come on - the result may vary from scan to scan.... nothing to worry.
djd1, lets not have threads about the same thing . Try a search and then post in the thread that relates to the same topic, if one exists.
after burned that MCC003, I test 3 times (cdspeed&Kprobe),and all pie=6xxx,pif=8xx,just after 2days,I do test again , the pie=7xxx,pif=14xx,you can see , they all increase fast.... :Z
can somebody tell me , the learnt data in eeprom is relating to media code or strategy?
if it relate to MediaCode, the MCC002 data and MCC003 data are saved in different positions , so I can burn MCC002 and MCC003 all @MCC003 strategy,is it right?
sorry about the duplicate thread, thanks for merging I was wondering is it better to burn a full disc? i've read somewhere that people do a multisession burn with 4 1gb files. which one would be better or does it matter? thanks
The multisession burn with 1gb files was to get the drive to learn 4x on one disc. I known his doesn't work because the drive saves the disc number in the burn log, so subseqent burns on the same disc are ignored. Answer, don't waste your time with the 1gb burns .
