Just moved over to Pioneer from NEC/Optiarc after experiencing the "can't read -R" problem with 2 drives! I've been a NEC user for longer than I care to remember and before that LiteOn. Reading reviews and posts here I decided to move over to a Pioneer DVR-115 - I am a complete noob here, so please have patience
Bit the bullet and ordered a Pioneer DVR-115 at the start of the week - delivered today -but the 116 not the 115
Question 1: Is the 115 so much better (than the 116) that I need to get the unit exchanged for the one I ordered?
Question 2: Is there any way I can do Quality Tests with this drive?? (I know Nero DiskSpeed doesn't support this).
Question 3: Ran a create disk test and the CPU usage was high (60%) extremely spikey graph covering the whole of the vertical axis - same with the buffer usage graph. Is this anything to worry about??
Thanks for your input
PS Need to change my sig (but will wait for answer to No 1)
