Px-w1210a

can my plextor PX-W1210A drive be overclocked ???
thanx in advance

No.

No … The Plextor does not cheat like the Lite-On does …
If you need a faster burner , try to OC your pocket …

I wouldn’t say that LiteOn “cheats”…

The OC with the burners , had become one sport, that the LiteON had start it , and by not stopping it , they contribute to it …
Unfortunately they contribute against the users back , since the warranty is off after the flashing , and the LiteOn inc. will have to RMA less devices …

Yes the users do it , not the LiteON , but tell me one person who will not try to do it …

This is what the LiteON counts on … ( Yes ,unofficially )
Because the Plextor forum its not that active , i spent my time in the LiteON forum , in the past 3 weeks i had read about at list six OCed burners , that they had die , in the first 6 months of operation , and the users are nagging and trying to found ways to re-flash them by the original firmware and RMA them …
But no one haves stored the original firmware , and the result will be the burner, to end up in the trashcan …

And i am asking , were is the glory of OC , specially in the burners !!

Well in reducing a 4 minute burn time to 3 minutes and 30 seconds… And oh yes, the overclocking questions has been answered in the FAQ. Why does no one ever read that?

Why does no one ever read that?

They are all busy in flashing … hehehehehe
