I hope they do too, Mark, because anyone can understand having to return 1, as that could happen to anyone. You've been very patient and forgiving, where I don't think I could have been like that with that many. It really seems whoever is running Plextor now and whoever they've got at Quality Control or Quality Assurance really doesn't give a hang about the quality of drive being put out right now. It almost reminds me of how good Sam's and Wal-mart was when Mr. Walton was living, but once the sons got them, they've not been the same since. If that man knew it, he'd roll over in his grave. I'm just so taken aback at the total non-chalance of Plextor with this, that it doesn't seem to bother them enough to fix it.
I guess to lighten things a little, here's a few comparisons that I hope will have some ROFL, regarding Plextor's lack of quality control and indifference to the customer, as perhaps these phrases describe the drives and/or the management at Plextor:
"An experiment in Artificial Stupidity"
"Fell out of the Stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down"
"An intellect rivaled only by garden tools"
"Missing a few buttons on the remote control"
"If (supply the person's/entity's name here) had another brain, it would be lonely"
"Proof that evolution CAN go in reverse"
"Too much yardage between the goal posts"
"The wheel's spinning, but the hamster's dead."
Enjoy the comic relief!
