PX-708A- Disc problems

Hey everyone, I scammed my friend’s PX-708A off of him when he sold his desktop, and it was working fine over summer when I connected it to my laptop through an external casing. But when I put it into my desktop, it just won’t burn anymore. Well, it will burn, but the burns are garbage. I’ve tried different media, and it doesn’t help at all.

I can’t figure out what the problem is at all. But when you look at the disc, it’s not a solid burn mark all the way through. There are random rings where it looks like it’s unburned or something.

Anyone know what could be wrong with my burner? Thanks in advance.

Do you media look like the posted in #9.

Try the drive in the external casing again.

Hahahaha… yeah, the DVD’s look exactly like that. Except when I used Nero’s scandisc on the DVD’s, the surface scan would just show EVERYTHING as being a bad sector. So red all the way through. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d try the external casing again, but I don’t have it on me anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:
