I just posted the article Publishers plan to compete with Amazon Kindle.

Several of the largest book publishers in the United States plan to create a new online digital content distribution they hope can rival Amazon.com, but the actual necessity of such a collaboration may prove to be inconsequential.

Interesting idea. Not sure how legit the competition will be against Amazon, but good to see companies fed up actually trying to do something. News Corp. also is quite dissatisfied with Google at the moment, and is reportedly still in talks with Microsoft to offer WSJ through Bing only.

Can’t wait to see what happens! :slight_smile:

Reminds me of the Music industry (Record labels) trying to do their own online thing and we all know how well that went…
