Hi.
Truman Cd Tool Can Read My Playstation Original Pregap From Only Sectors -150 No Further Back
Pregap and leadout overreading ability depends on disc,
drive and software, limitations are always expected.
Just to give you a clue, PlayStation discs can be
overread up to 140 sectors into pregap and 100
into leadout in Plextor drives by CDTool and
PerfectRip. User info isn’t meant to be there.
However, LBA -150 is the first sector inside
program area and you can’t read TOC right
before it by using the same MMC command.
Could Anybody Give Me Some Help To Extract Sectors -150 to 0 and merdge them with a image file
You can extract those sectors asking PerfectRip
to overread pregap by entering proper read and/or
write offset correction values into expert settings
window, but this is valid for CDDA discs only, no
matter the offset, you’ll always get the same
sector as first on the image with CD-ROMs.
I can offer you a workaround that makes the drive
read the CD-ROM as if it was an audio disc, but I’m
really interested in knowing what you’re trying to do.
Merging those sectors in an image is piece of cake by
using an hexadecimal editor, problem comes whey you
won’t be able to burn such an image with conventional
software, maybe even with no existing optical burner.
