PSone VS PSX

Are these two the same? can PSX use cheat discs that are for PSone? or is it just that PSone have a new look and design? HELP!!!

The PSX was the original working title for what officially became known as the Sony Playstation. To answer your question though there shouldn’t be any problems.
Ironically the “PSX” name is currently being used by Sony again for a new PS2 based machine that’ll also have an inbuilt tv-tuner, DVD recordable drive & broadband internet access.

woow I didn’t know that ps2 can record DVD’s…maybe I buy it…to replace my usual recorder

A normal ps 2 cant do this what H.K. Phooey is on about is this

merging the videogame capabilities of the Playstation2 with a TV Tuner, DVR-R and HDD functionalities of a set-top-box.

The PSOne is the PSX, except it is missing the I/O ports on the back.

Same thing; it will run cheat discs.
