Hey guys....I'm quite the noob when it comes to DVD Media. I have done a bit of reading, however, and determined that Verbatim DVD-R is a cheap, well received brand that's widely available (got mine at Best Buy on sale this week). Now to the question:
I have a PS2 that reads "real" PS2 discs usually without issue. To play my backups, however, I have yet to find a reliable brand to get passed the browser / config screen. Once past the actual boot process, the discs read well. It's the initial boot that the PS2 has a hard time getting past. I'd say I have about 66% reliability to boot.
Being that my PS2 doesn't have that hard of time reading the original disc, I'm guessing the media / burn quality could be improved in some way. Or do you think my laser is at issue? Lastly, do you think I should return the media and try a different brand? I have tried all burn speeds (16/12/8/6). ID: MCC 03RG20
Thanks in advance.
