hi, my brother last week purchased a toshiba dvd-rw it is model # sd-r5002 . so far we have been unsucessful in burning any dvds. i know how to burn them properly as I have my own dvd burner on my pc. here is the problem, first i tried to burn a dvd that has VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS i put them on nero clicked burn and it was fine, 100% done i clicked done the dvd popped out, i put the dvd back in to make sure it was done, just comes up as blank, so i saido k, i put it in the dvd-rom drive on his pc, blank also, put it in 3 other dvd players in the house, says blank disk or bad disk on some of the dvd players, went back on nero disc info said the media is blank, tried 3 other brands of dvd-r’s same thing, then tried nero 7 same thing, back to nero 6 same thing, dvd decrypter, same thing, roxio same thing, wondering how it can “Burn” but then be blank. the pc has no problems, its xp sp2, full virus scan once a day, same with spyware and we made sure we have the newest firmware on the dvd drive. anyone have any ideas how to make it actualyl burn, we arent burning simulations and on nero we click finalize as well as ive tried burning on 2x as well as 1x. then i converted the dvd files to iso and tried that, also tried just burning a data dvd full of mp3’s and other files still “blank” at least im not burning coasters lol cuz its not burning at all. this is very odd that the program is ‘burning’ the dvd and the drive lights up and stuff so it looks like its working, but after its done u can look at the bottom of the disk and tell it wasnt written, all my region settings are correct and everything so i have no idea whats going on
