Hi guys, I'm having troubles running Grim fandango on my computer using Windows 2000. when Manny is talking the sound often loops and it kind of freeze the game. Also when I press F1 to save my game, there is no more sound at all when i go back to the game. it really sucks. I have to quit the game and reload it all.
here's what I tried: i downloaded and installed the patch on lucasarts' site but it doesn't help. I installed the VDMsound2.1.0 program, but it still doesn't help much.
my sound card is a sound blaster live! value. and my video card is a ATI all in wonder 9800 series.
I read stuff about disable hyperthreading options, and win95 compatibility mode stuff, but since I use win 2000 I don't think these things can help... yet I didn't find anything in my BIOS about hyper threading so this means it isn't enabled, eh! so anyways i really wish i could play Grim again but the sound keeps on looping and freezing everything....
Can anyone help ? thanks a lot...
