Interesting - that’s a new indentifier. Everything to date has been S03. That’s F01. Still not a bad scan.

I have some 8x -r Prodiscf01’s that I have tried in various burners. No good at all on BTC1008 (not at any speed). Work to some extent on Liteon 851S with current standard firmware, but not great. On my Pioneer A07XL with hacked firmware, work great at 4x or 8x burn speed. PI/PO errors all within limits. So, if you get stuck with prodiscf01’s, just find a pioneer burner.

Nice burn for Prodisc F01 media. Is Prodisc getting better or is it just me. I was thinking about purchasing this particular MID as inkjet printable. I think this scan sold me.

#31

You might want to look at these posts before you buy F01 printable.

ProdiscF01, matte silver top Fuji branded, speed rated up to 8x, made in Taiwan and purchased from BestBuy. Burned in Pioneer 108, FW 1.14.

Sorry for the last scan post of ProdiscF01, Fuji branded matte silver top scanned at 4x, it was made with a reader. This scan was made with a Liteon 811s.

Yes, I’ve bought yesterday as well DVD-R LG 8x with this identifier - ProdiscF01

rsquid:

I don’t know why the KProbe scan looks so bad for the ProdisF01 media because it plays in all my players without problems including the Xbox which is fussy about what it will recognise.

If anyone has any ideas what I might have done wrong with the scan settings please let me know.

Thanks

#36

I am new to this but have had great luck with the ProdiscF01 media that was sold to me under the Fuji label. I have burned 50 out of 50 at 2x without a single error. I use DVD Shrink, a Sony DVD writer, P4 2ghz and 1.5 megs of RAM. It takes about 50 minutes at 2x but it seems worth it as all of the movies come out perfect.

#37

Bought as bulkpaq orange, indeed nice quality burned at 8x on an Lg-gsa 4120b scanned on pioneer dvr-105

I seem to be the only one showing the Prodisc as a MCC media?
I just bought these in a bulk spindle of 50 from Shop4Tech.com

Following up to my message above… I don’t have a LiteOn burner yet to test the actual errors on the disc, but I can tell you that with my NEC 2500A v1.07, these discs are garbage! Using Nero 6.6 to burn DVD movies, I tried full and 4gb burns at 2x, 4x, 6x, and 8x… ALL of them displayed errors to some extent when watching the movies on my Panasonic set-top DVD player, as well as in my PC via the Pioneer 116 DVD-ROM drive. One disc was completely unwatchable by the end of the disc.

I’m going to try burning them in a friend’s LiteOn as well as the new LG drive and see if I get better results.

same for me, they fail over 4 GB
