delete the ide channel in device manager and restart the computer, check the DMA to be enabled. you can also crossflash with the liteon 1673s firmware JS05: http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares/stock/1673S.JS05.stock.rar

Thanks chok0 but my comp doesn’t show the IDE channels in the device manager. It only has NVidia nForce IDE Controller.I have read about changing the DMA’a to enabled but can’t even get to them without having the Primary and secondary channels visable in device manager. Is there some reason that they arent showing or is there another way to get to the DMA settings?

Thanks

uninstall the nvidia ide drivers and use the standard windows ones.
