Try reducing your effective burn speed from 16x to 8x.See if it helps
One other thought try setting to dvd-rom for your bookset.

I’d try better media… Verbatims or TY’s ,and yes lower burn to 8x as tgidday suggested…good luck!

Yup, agree with posts ^ ^^
Your CMC media is pretty marginal stuff. Results are gonna be inconsistent at best. You may be able to get a decent burn by lowering your burn speed, but I’d dump these anyway.

Here’s a decent site for info on blank media:
digitalFAQ

I have my speed set at recommended most of the time it just ends up actually writing at like 1.8x or 2.3x nothing really more … as far as media goes I always use dvd+r it plays better in my player. I have backed up the messengers, ghost rider, and other various new movies with no problem. The only problem I’ve had lately is with “Norbit” … have any of you backed that one up yet without any problems???

I had no problems with this movie with DvdFab Gold.

Also had no problems backing-up Reno 911!: Miami, and Bridge To Terabithia, released today

don’t spend much time the movie is hard to watch even once.

That bad huh? I have but never watched it. I bought it for my daughter. She’s just now here for part of the summer.

Cno2u,
What are using to burn the movie you bought. Is it NERO,ROXIO,DVDFAB GOLD,OR
PLatinum?. The reason I am asking is I used the latest version of dvd fab gold to
back up my copy of NORBIT,and I had no problem.
Good Luck ZAP EM.

I have the exact crash log as as the first post with Norbit myself. Only dfference is that I’m using Sony DVD-R , SAO Writing. This is the 1st time in years that I had a problem with DVDFab

I bet its a bad source disc, I did Norbit with no problems with dash media.:iagree:

I changed the source disk to another dvd of Norbit and I still get the same crash/results. HELP!!!

It finally worked for me … don’t know how, but it did … I did movie only copy~ gl … and I have platinum version and back up all my copies with it burn as well!

This looks like a DMA problem. How do the buffers react?
