Thanks for readin all that 'cause i sure dont understand a word of it.

The burner is at Secondary Slave - no good idea.
I would put it on Primary Slave.

2.4x? Was this intentional, or was that the only speed offered?

What media are you using? If that was the only speed you were offered, and it’s a disc rated at a higher speed, it might be a case of firmware support.

Download CD-DVD Speed (or find it in the Nero Toolkit), put a blank disc in, then click the “Disc Info” tab. Post the MID info that it shows.

Thanks, and welcome to CDF

Thanks alot you two

MID ? is that just the text? if so here it is

And how do you make it primary slave ? that’s in bios right ?

Sorry for all my neewbie questions but i dont know much about hardware hehe

Hmmm, that’s really odd that it’s not showing the MID info in that text (usually there’s an entry that’ll say (for example) MID: TYG03).

Do you have Alcohol or Daemon Tools installed? If so, there might be an option in one of them called “Hide ATIP” or something.

Anyways…what brand are the discs, and what speed does it say on the discs/packaging?

Edit: you don’t seem to have any virtual drives in your log, which you usually do if Alcohol or DT are installed…

(And don’t worry about asking “newbie” questions…if you don’t ask, you don’t learn ;))

Looks like a pretty old HP burner model which probably doesn’t handle currently available media. You’re very low on free memory as well, cleansation. Try closing as many background apps as possible.

Hey people, thanks alot for all your answers

For some weird reason it didnt help re install 1 or 2 times… But the third time it all suddendly worked… Thanks alot great site and great respons

Glad you got it sorted
