Problems with burning into a double layer DVD with CloneDVD

Hello guys:

I am trying to copy a DVD with CloneDVD into a double layer DVD, but after the image is created and I’m asked to insert the virgin double layer DVD it tells me that the data size is too large.

Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated,
Roberto

The problem you are describing is usually caused by the use of poor quality DL Media. This problem has been discussed numerous times in both the CloneDVD and AnyDVD Forums.

As of this time/date the only DL Media proven to consistently produce quality error free results is Verbatim DL MKM001/MKM003 Mitsubishi Kagaku Media.

Either DVD Identifier (http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com) or DVDInfo (http://www.dvdinfopro.com) will reveal the MID (Manufacture ID and Media Code) (Example: MKM001 or MKM003) of your DVD Media.

can you try using dvddecrypter to copy on to your DL disc, just to see if your getting the same To large file message

Mode>ISO>read
Mode>ISO>write

but as BeLooken says, use good quality media

also, how comes DVDit comes up with this message?

Any other reliable DL DVD besides Verbatim?

Thanks

Unfortunately as stated in posting #2 at this time/date Verbatim DL Media with Mitsubishi Kagaku Media MID Codes MKM001 or MKM003 is the only DL Media proven to consistently produce quality error free results. Recommend if you value your DVD data not to attempt to use substandard DL Media.

In your original posting you did not mention the Name/Model of your DVD Burner but it is important also to ensure that you have the most current up to date DVD Burner Firmware installed to ensure that you obtain quality error free Burning results. The CD Freaks DVD Burner Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61) will provide detailed information on Firmware for your particular DVD Burner.
